The Key Note Speaker for Day One of the conference is Randy Phares - Dr. Box. Reza Shafii is a pioneer in Green Printing. His book, Go Green on Your Next Print is one of the first books published in the topic of green printing. Reza has established a unique approach to accurate color reproduction using the most bio degradable materials and earth friendly processes. His printed materials have won many industry awards for quality and creativity. Reza has a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. In 1985, Reza and his wife, Jennifer, started a chain of quick copy centers called CopyCat. TigerPress evolved from the original CopyCat and now is a leader in Green Printing. TigerPress has expanded its operations in to the packaging industry and operates two manufacturing plants in Northeastern USA. TigerPress manufactures printed folded cartons for the pharmaceutical, food and beverage industries. Neal Stuber has his MBA, is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt,and is the winner of a Global Six Sigma and Business Improvement Award. Neal is the Production Manager at Temple-Inland Edinburg, part of the organizations International Division (Fortune 1000). Over the course of 20 years, Neal has managed manufacturing operations in several U.S. states and has performed project and process engineering work in the Corrugated and Building Products industries. He served as an engineer on merchant vessels during the 1992 Persian Gulf Crisis. Frank Perkowski
Frank Perkowski is a widely known and recognized industry consultant and expert in paper and packaging markets. He has over 25 years of industry experience including during the last 12 years as an industry consultant. Over the last 8 years Frank has been the principle of his own management consulting business. Frank has extensive experience across virtually all paper based printing and packaging segments as a result of completing over 250 assignments as an industry consultant. Most of his focus has been in packaging markets, with a particular focus on projects that involve market/customer research, opportunity assessments, transaction advisory services, and new product/market development initiatives. Roman E. Popil is a Senior Research Scientist at Georgia Tech/IPST and has been leading the Institute industry-sponsored research in corrugated box structures and testing methods since 2002. Roman has been active in paper industry research since 1986 covering areas of newsprint printability, formation measurement, and other leading industry topics. He has authored over 50 research papers including applications and properties of barrier coatings, physical testing of paper and corrugated board properties. Cris DeWitt
Cris DeWitt is a veteran of manufacturing information technology. As an executive, he was the Divisional CIO of a public company that builds complex manufacturing equipment, and as a technologist researched how to secure manufacturing data for the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Cris's years of experience as a technologist and entrepreneur (recipient of "top 50 Fastest Growing Companies" award) are reflected in his accomplishments. Cris is a visionary in the practical application of security, manufacturing optimization, and learning technologies. Today, Cris is the CTO of agileTCP, a management consultancy that helps companies generate and sustain broad based, high speed, relentless improvement and innovation. Brian Anderson is founder and principal of BA Search Group.
